badgirlshenanigans: (Who's there?)
Almost everyone is gone.  May's who knows where, and Simmons is seriously beginning to wonder where exactly the other woman's loyalties lie.  Fitz managed to escape, with the Toolbox and lovingly made sandwich and Simmons is still in the lab working away on an experiment she knows will fail.

Mack wanders past and she barely spares him a look.  Right now, her mind's trying to tune out the nattering from Bobbi, who seems convinced that the longer she talks, the more likely Simmons is to forgive her.  For the first time ever, Simmons understands what Hunter meant about Bobbi wearing a person down, or how skilled an interrogator she is.  If it wasn't for the fact Fitz needs as much time as possible, Simmons would've broken hours ago just to beg for a few minutes of silence.

One more attempt to open the Fake Toolbox, and Bobbi's literally leaning over Jemma's shoulder, "some space, please."  She's snippy when she speaks, which has Bobbi stepping back, hands up, talking about making amends.  Fortunately for Simmons, the moment happens just as the experiment fails -- or what Bobbi sees as a failure.  The longer Jemma can keep it up, the more successful her real experiment is.

Simmons has to wonder what it would be like if Bobbi was too close to Ward when Jemma makes her attempt to kill him.  It's an intellectual exercise, for now, unless something does happen to Coulson or Fitz.  Then it would become practical.

Right now, she's annoyed enough that she needs a few minutes away, and makes an excuse about needing something to eat.  Without waiting for a pretend agreement, that's really tacit permission, Jemma heads off toward her bunk, too annoyed to pay attention to anything around her.
